I wanted to take the time today to touch a little on the importance of economics and education in this country. I believe that the educational system could do us all a service if they would start teaching our children capitalism in school instead of things like cyber talk and global warming. Trust me it happens. My children go through it almost every year in the public schools. I don't understand why we expect our children to grow up and be productive members of society when they are never tought how. Very few of us teach our kids economics. I know it sounds boring, but its one of the most important aspects of our society. Schools should teach it K-12. One of the factors in poverty is education so I think that economics should be a must in our children's lives. If anyone is interested on how to become more familiar with economics and how capitalism works, any book from Milton Friedman is a good read. He was one of the most intelligent and articulate capitalist educators of our time. Amazon.com has a great selection of his books. 2010 looks to be a good year for conservatives!
Finally! Election year is here and it looks pretty good for the republicans. This whole first year of the Obama administration has been terrible for the dems, and vice versa. Not to mention the country.
The best news is that there are some democrats that are retiring and that leaves their seat open for a real election chance for the conservatives. It's my hope that the country has finally opened their eyes to what true liberalism is.
We are, as a whole, a conservative country. I have never met anyone who wants to pay higher taxes, open the borders, destroy Christianity, live under complete government control, or have the government spend every last dime in the treasury. What a disaster year for the country. We have, for the first time in history, a congress and a president that competely ignore what the people of this country want. We all want the government to be responsible.
The constitution clearly states that the government is supposed to look out for the general welfare of the people, but a complete federal takeover of the private sector is rediculous. I could go on and on about all of the things that this administration wants to take over, but I will just touch on healthcare.
We keep hearing about how this bill is going to save money and improve healthcare across the board. Lets look at the facts for a minute. The dems keep talking about how bad it is that the health care industry makes up about one sixth of the economy. Well thats true, but I don't think its a bad thing, at least not for the private practices. What they don't tell you is medicare and medicaid make up about 58% of that cost. Two government run programs that are in the hole, doesn't provide enough helthcare for our seniors, and allows for monumental abuse. This is the model that the dems want for everyone. On top of all that, they want to fine you if you choose not to have insurance.
Again, another example of democrats trying to take something that works, the private sector, and break it down to a second class, government run package of hamburger, and try to tell us that it's a ribeye.
I have said it before, and I'll say it again. The government has to be run like we run our own lives. Budgets, sacrifices, and lean on the things that work. our best asset in this economy is the private sector. Pleasde don't let the liberals destroy it.

Universal Health care
So the senate is trying to pass this health bill now. What is it about "We're broke" that no one understands? I mean the government just spent all this money on "stimulating" the economy and we are pretty much in the hole. Why can't congress just put this bill on hold until we're in the black again? Oh wait. We won't be in the black until our grand kids pay it off. The government needs to learn how to live within its means like the rest of us.
Unemploment is 10.2%, and economists are saying that it will be worse by this time next year. Fewer jobs mean less revenue to the government, and yet they want to keep expanding entitlement programs. Makes no sense to me.
The funny thing is that I'm not blaming Obama cause I know that the president can not make these programs or laws, it's the congress thats making all this up. But if he signs this giant entitlement bill, then it will be a different story. I just hope that at some point I don't have to look into my kids' eyes and tell them stories about when this country had individual liberty and choice over their own lives.

Using children is always the libs way
Liberals always use the excuse of “it’s for the children” to fund the government monopoly over education, to let illegal immigrants stay in the country and flock over here by the millions, to subsidize the housing market in order to ensure a home for people that can’t afford it. Over and over again the liberals pull on the heart strings of the American people by using the children to push forward their socialist agenda.
Why is it they can use the “children” for every excuse to con us into higher taxes and social programs, as if that is all they care about, and then federally fund abortions? Because it’s not truly about the children, it’s about the votes.
When was the last time you seen a teachers union on strike for the children instead of a pay raise? When was the last time you seen the federal government keep the children of illegal immigrants and deport the parents? Don’t you think we should show our children that this is a nation of laws and if you break them you have to be punished? When was the last time you seen the federal government actually buy a house for a poor family instead of manipulating the market and causing a recession? It has never happened.
In the arena of ideas, libs can only use the children for an excuse to push forward. Quite frankly, it makes me sick. They can no longer tell us it’s for the children!! The only way to make sure that they can’t do it anymore is to start a grass roots effort for the children. We need to start talking to kids about the importance of conservatism and capitalism. We need to talk to our friends, family and colleagues.
To long have the true conservatives of this country sat back and watched as this country went further and further to the left. Political correctness has made this party impotent. We’ve become afraid of expressing our ideas and values because we might offend someone. Well I say enough is enough. I’m not gonna walk on egg shells anymore. When I feel some that someone is wrong, I’m gonna say something. When libs say it’s for the children, I’m gonna call them a liar. When is the last time they did anything for our children?! They took prayer out of the schools. They took the Ten Commandments out of society. They introduced sex education into our schools and then took responsibility and accountability out of our schools. These kids today can’t even compete with Europe because the schools care more about social engineering than education. Crime rates have risen! Teenage pregnancy has skyrocketed. Kids can sue their parents! What kind of crap is that? When will we finally learn that socialism and communism doesn’t work? When the Soviet Union finally collapses? Oh wait, it already has.

Please vote these clowns out!
Is anyone ready for the 2010 and 2012 elections yet? I sure am. I just hope that the politicians that run are true conservatives! Conservatism has always been the backbone of strong national security, fiscal reponsibility, and good family values. I know that this may come to a suprise to many, but think about it. Every time a conservative gets away from conservative principles, he fails in his policies and loses elections. Take for example all the republicans that lost in 2006 and 2008. All of them were elected because the country was tired of the way liberals were spending and taxing, along with all the other liberal ideas that were circulating around that time. Gun control, gay rights, and weak national security just to name a couple. In 2006, the people were tired of the way republicans were growning the government, and spending our tax payer dollors. Then in 2008, Barack Obama ran a pretty conservative campaign. He ran on fiscal responsibilty, stronger action in the war on terror, and Tax cuts for 95% of the american people. Those ideas are very conservative ideas. This just goes to show you what the people wanted. Then in the usual politician fashon, he started doing exactly the oppisite of what he promised. now I just hop that the nation can see what true liberalism is and change course. sadly though, I don't see any Reagan republicans out there yet.
