2010 looks to be a good year for conservatives!

Finally! Election year is here and it looks pretty good for the republicans. This whole first year of the Obama administration has been terrible for the dems, and vice versa. Not to mention the country.

The best news is that there are some democrats that are retiring and that leaves their seat open for a real election chance for the conservatives. It's my hope that the country has finally opened their eyes to what true liberalism is.

We are, as a whole, a conservative country. I have never met anyone who wants to pay higher taxes, open the borders, destroy Christianity, live under complete government control, or have the government spend every last dime in the treasury. What a disaster year for the country. We have, for the first time in history, a congress and a president that competely ignore what the people of this country want. We all want the government to be responsible.

The constitution clearly states that the government is supposed to look out for the general welfare of the people, but a complete federal takeover of the private sector is rediculous. I could go on and on about all of the things that this administration wants to take over, but I will just touch on healthcare.

We keep hearing about how this bill is going to save money and improve healthcare across the board. Lets look at the facts for a minute. The dems keep talking about how bad it is that the health care industry makes up about one sixth of the economy. Well thats true, but I don't think its a bad thing, at least not for the private practices. What they don't tell you is medicare and medicaid make up about 58% of that cost. Two government run programs that are in the hole, doesn't provide enough helthcare for our seniors, and allows for monumental abuse. This is the model that the dems want for everyone. On top of all that, they want to fine you if you choose not to have insurance.

Again, another example of democrats trying to take something that works, the private sector, and break it down to a second class, government run package of hamburger, and try to tell us that it's a ribeye.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again. The government has to be run like we run our own lives. Budgets, sacrifices, and lean on the things that work. our best asset in this economy is the private sector. Pleasde don't let the liberals destroy it.

  2. Ray, please "go on and on" about what the govt wants to take over, wait, you can't. It was an exaggeration of massive proportion. The govt doesnt even want to "take over" health care. It will serve you well to research what your evil opponents are proposing before you make false blanket statements.

    1. Well well well. Looks like I was right. The liberals did third best to take it over, but just like I thought, it's failing, and it led to a complete take over of the house, the Senate, and now the white house by Republicans. Only problem now is, the republicans are weak and spineless, and won't do what's right by repealing this abomination.

  3. The pony express worked, so why did we start using motorized vehicles when they became available? Plus, your definition of "conservative" above is off base with reality.

  4. Lets see here. Government runs medicare, medicaid, Parts of the banking systems of this country, GM, public schools, and now wants to take over healthcare for everyone. If they don't take over healthcare, it will be because cooler heads prevailed, namely conservatives.
You must agree that when the government buys a private company, oh wait, I meant "bail out" a private company, and then can dictate who gets fired in a private company, namely GM, that they pretty much run the company. Do you not see how dangerous a prcedent this sets? The pony express worked, but PRIVATE companies came up with the car. It was a better more efficient way to do business, therefore cars took over. It's called capitalism. It's the most dynamic, wealth generating system in the world. The facts are out there folks. Just look em up. The government runs more than you obviously want to admit. And please, feel free to define conservatism for me. I am honestly interested.

  5. Anyone who believes that the Democrats in power right now do not want a larger government with more control over it's citizens is delusional. The ultimate goal of the healthcare plan being passed against the will of the country is to have socialized healthcare.. a one-payer system. Power is what drives them, and freedom is the price we will pay for not waking up sooner.

  6. I think we under estimate how many people want a nanny state. It scares me. What happened to people wanting freedom? I worry they won't truly wake up until it is gone.

  7. I am 23 and hoping that liberalism and a feeling of entitlement is just a phase for my generation. Young people my age are 100% fine with the Govt controlling their lives, most of them have no ambition anyways. They believe that its fine to tax the rich more. Im uneducated and not rich and Im not poor, but im doing it and its not because the Govt stepped in.

I will be watching your blogs from this point on Ray. Its refreshing to see conservative views in a world that is throwing liberalism at you constantly.

  8. Well i appriciate that CB23. I'll keep em comin. Its nice to know that there are young people that apply common sense in ther own lives. Winston Churchill once said that "If your not a liberal by 20, you have no heart. If your not a conservative by 40, you have no brain." You are ahead of the game my friend.
